This module examines examine when and when not to use gloves and explores the different types of gloves that are available for use in the clinical setting. When you know how to make the right choice about glove use, you can reduce the risk of pathogens spreading.

Healthcare workers of all professions may also benefit from this course.

Why is this course important to you?

Health-care workers must differentiate between the type of glove to use based on the task, when gloves should and should not be worn, and when gloves should be changed. Understanding the risk of non-sterile glove use helps healthcare workers reduce cross-contamination and keep themselves, their colleagues, and patients safe.
