Assess Readiness to Apply

• Complete the gap analysis found in the getting started guide.
  
  
• Review the 2024 ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) Application Manual
  • Download PTAP Manual
  • Manual addendums can be found here.
    
    
• Contact the ANCC PTAP/APPFA Team (practicetransition@ana.org) to determine the appropriate review cycle for your program.
  • The ANCC PTAP program conducts 4 review cycles a year (see table below):

  Application acceptance will begin at 9 am EST on the start date and end on the last date or when the cycle is full.
  
  Please note: Depending on application volume, you may be placed into the next available cycle when we reach documentation review capacity. Notification will be provided here when a cycle is full. Contact the PTAP Office with any questions.
  
  
• Online Application Portal Launching Soon
  • To enhance the application experience, PTAP applications will soon be submitted and processed through an online portal. If interested in the February 2027 self-study submission cycle contact practicetransition@ana.org.
  • Sample information needed for application system - paper/electronic applications will not be acccepted for the February 2027 cycle

• If the baccalaureate degree (or higher) in nursing was obtained outside the United States, the Program Director and site clinical coordinator(s) (if used in the program) do not need to have the degree evaluated for comparability to US degree requirements.
  • If the Program Director and site clinical coordinator(s) (if used in the program) are educated outside the United States and do not hold a baccalaureate (or higher) nursing degree, they must have their credentials evaluated for comparability to US degree standards through TruMerit formerly CGFNS.

• After the submission of your PTAP application form the ANCC PTAP/APPFA team will confirm your programs eligibility.

Organizations Outside of the U.S. Tax Notice:

• Organizations outside of the U.S. may be required by applicable law to pay or withhold taxes from any payment to ANCC.
• Organizations outside of the U.S. are responsible for paying the full fees to ANCC exclusive of any non-US taxes or withholdings. Organizations outside of the U.S. are responsible for any required withholdings or taxes owed in addition to payment of the full fees to ANCC.
• ANCC may require Organizations outside of the U.S. to provide proof of such tax payment or withholding to the applicable tax authorities.
